So, removing the white is valuable for anyone who draws good pencil lineart and like to keep it in their digital works. So rather than painting over the lines, or leaving it bland with all the nice coloring underneath, I like to color my lines and integrate into the coloring. My traditional lineart looks way better than digital. First, you can select and remove a photo or an object from a scene, and put them in front of an entirely new backdropor just give them their own photo, as we’ve done here. First we’re going to assume you’re using one of the fill methods to remove your background, and not one of the many other ways we’ve covered, including using the eraser, layer masks, and the pen tool. Lines are the reason I'm happy to use this function now. Using Proper Fill Settings Let’s start with some basics. This changes everything!ĮDIT: I know you can turn multiply on to color under the lines of a scanned image, but the white still makes it impossible to color the lines. Seriously though, I'm really happy about this. No need to spend countless hours redrawing a sketch (even though I spent so much time on it that I got better at it and sometimes still do that just to keep the skill - ) I can paint under/over my freaking pencil lines without the white background!!! JOY! Just 2 seconds to separate my linework from the white?! Why didn't I know this sooner - like when I first got this program?!?!?.
